Enjoy a good night's sleep again

Can't get to sleep - wake up at 1 AM? ...

With a stressful lifestyle, with all kinds of pressures placed on us every day, trying to relax and go to sleep can be quite difficult. It may be something that happened during the day, or it may be going over the million things that are on our schedule for tomorrow. It could be worry over financial problems, issues at work, or problems in our relationships. No matter what, when our minds are filled with things like these, it can be nearly impossible to relax enough to fall asleep.

And sometimes we'll drop off to sleep but jolt awake early in the morning, wide awake, with those thoughts taking over again. For some people the thoughts are replaced by fear that they won't be able to go back to sleep, and will be too tired to accomplish what they need to during the day. Concern that they will fall asleep in class (or in a meeting), won't be able to pay attention to details, or won't be able to stay awake for that special date tomorrow night.

It becomes a habit..

If we lay awake worrying that we won't be able to sleep, night after night, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy - each night it happens again, then again. And the more it happens, the more tired we become, dragging ourselves through the day wishing we could just go to sleep! Eventually it becomes a habit - every night it is the same thing, over and over. Some people even dread going to bed, not wanting to go through that turmoil again, even though their body and mind are exhausted.

Many people who take medications to help them sleep report that they feel worse in the morning, that the sleep they may have gotten wasn't 'quality' sleep after all. They want a natural method of sleeping.

The habit CAN be broken!

There is good news - there are proven techniques that each of us can learn to overcome this night-time misery. And, through the use of hypnosis, the subconscious mind can be re-trained for a natural sleep cycle. Different people need different amounts of sleep time, usually ranging from 6-8 hours. If we happen to miss a portion of our sleep cycle, it can be made up the next night, or even saved for the weekend where we sleep in to catch up.

And maybe changes to the diet would be effective.
