Pathway Hypnosis
Improving Mind, Body, Spirit
Heal your body more quickly
Fear, apprehension, and tension are often what people experience when faced with a hospital visit. Hypnosis can help us deal with these terrible feelings. It can help us heal faster and greatly improve our chances of having a positive outcome.
Usually, the worst part of surgery is the anticipation of it. Our imaginations can get the best of us, making us nervous or even afraid of the surgery, and the hospital, and even the doctors.
Hypnosis can help relieve the fear and anxiety of up-coming surgery, can give you tools to relax even when being wheeled into pre-op, can reduce the amount of bleeding during surgery, reduce the amount of any discomfort (we don’t like to use the word “pain”), and dramatically speed recovery. All of this might mean you can leave the hospital sooner than expected.
Healing can be significantly faster with hypnosis. A number of scientific studies have demonstrated that hypnosis can allow broken bones to mend faster, that there is less infection and less scar tissue. The systems in our body that control heart rate, direct the nerve signals to the brain that might be interpreted as pain, manage the immune system to fight off invading germs, and in general take care of making our body work are run by the subconscious “brain” – we don’t have to tell it what to do, because it automatically knows.
But we can, through hypnosis, communicate with the subconscious brain and direct it with specific instructions. We can control blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, and much more. Here at The Pathway we teach you how to talk to your subconscious, to give it helpful suggestions for improvement.
At Pathway Hypnosis, typical sessions take 1-1 1/2 hour, half of which is discussion and assessing needs and goals. The wonderful and versatile tool of self-hypnosis is taught during the session. For fearless surgery we usually meet in 2 or 3 sessions in the weeks or days before surgery, and then once or twice following surgery. It may be possible to schedule a session at bedside in the hospital.. Call or email now for an appointment and see immediate results!
